We would like to announce the release of yet another implementation of efficient mutable hashtables in Haskell.

• It was created long time ago, see GitHub: https://github.com/klapaucius/vector-hashtables.
• And it finally got its way to the Hackage: https://hackage.haskell.org/package/vector-hashtables.

This is great, I thought hashtables was often unnecessarily slow. I will try this out. It might be interesting to see if we can improve the k-nucleotide benchmark with this package.

Naively replacing hashtables with vector-hashtables causes a slowdown from ~22 to ~55 seconds

I will try figuring out what is going wrong.
