Umbrella issue for all XJC related encoding issues wrt xjc itself and maven plugins/ant tasks

It is not possible to set output encoding for generated java sources. Encoding
defined in "file.encoding" system property has been used in this case (For
example: Maven Compiler Plugin has the "encoding" property to define encoding
of source files).

Hi Marc. Just found this issue because we also have a related problem in our project. We work with Eclipse on Windows Platform with default encoding Cp1252. XML schema is UTF-8 and contains German Umlauts. When using xjc with the online (http) version of the schema we are getting wrong encoded java files containing compile errors because of the Umlauts. Not before we tell Eclipse to see them as UTF-8 the error disappears. When using a workspace offline version of the schema this problem disappears. I'm not sure if I understand this fully, but it seems that with online access xjc reads and writes UTF-8, while with offline file access it reads UTF-8 and generates platform encoding Cp1252.
But to sum it up: If you fix this common encoding problem, chances are good that out problem will also be fixed.
