Adding required custom options to simple product removes it from parent composite products without warning

Steps to reproduce

1. Login to the Magento Admin panel
2. Create a configurable or group product
3. Create a simple product and add it to configurable or group product
4. Edit simple product and add a required custom option
5. Save

Expected result

A simple product should not be saved. A warning should be displayed to the admin user: "Required custom options cannot be added to a simple product that is a part of a composite product"

Actual result

A simple product is saved. It is unassigned from parent composite products. No warning is displayed to the admin user.

Moreover there is problem with those simple product custom options. When simple product has custom option and You are in configurable product page and You choose simple product ( configurable attribute ) there should also be possibility to choose product simple custom option.

This is not a problem. Simple product with custom option MUST NOT be assigned to configurable product. Check https://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/9999/associate-simple-products-with-custom-options-to-configurable-product for more details.

At the same time, initial bug report seems valid to me: there should be a validation telling Admin user that simple product is associated with grouped/configurable and thus it is not possible to add custom option.

Allthough Magento lacks the ability to display custom options assigned to a simple product I want to argue that a simple product with only optional custom options would still form a useful configurable product / simple product combination to some merchants. Once required options are involved it doesn't really make sense now and I second the admin backend validation warning.

Making the simple products custom options available within a configurable product would be great - but thats a feature request that should be handled in another issue I guess.
