Spring 3.1 compiles against Hibernate 3.3.2. All other Hibernate generations must be manually tested.

No longer valid given that changes to .orm.hibernate3 *SessionFactoryBean classes were backed out in favor of the new .orm.hibernate4 package that contains similar changes. No major changes remain in the .orm.hibernate3 package, and it's compatibility is already known-good against existing Hibernate 3.x versions.
