The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of age on structures of deponents and anticausative verbs. As a result, 21 children divided into four groups (Group A: 4;0-6;0 y.o, Group B: 7;0-9;0 y.o., Group C: 10;1-11;10 y.o., Group D: 12;0- 13;0 y.o.) were presented with sentences containing deponents and anticausatives and asked to rate them as grammatical or ungrammatical. Our findings indicate that children aged 4;0-6;0 have not fully acquired passive structures, even though they interpret the ungrammatical structures of deponents and the structures of anticausative verbs without voice alternation as passive. On the other hand, the performance of the remaining three groups of children is similar to that of the adults. In addition, there is an interesting fact regarding the ungrammatical structures of deponents. For these structures, all groups of children and adults have not performed well. Their performance shows a preference to interpret ungrammatical structures of deponents as passive regardless the age. As far as the anticausative verbs are concerned, those without voice alternation were more acceptable with an active morphology whereas those with voice alternation were more acceptable with passive morphology.

Parent education is a critical component of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Research consistently demonstrates that when parents are actively involved in ABA based interventions, children experience improved outcomes, including enhanced communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviours, as well as reduced maladaptive behaviours. Furthermore, parent education contributes to shorter treatment times, ensuring consistency and generalisation of skills across settings. This paper explores the role of parent education in ABA, its impact on treatment efficacy, and the mechanisms through which it fosters better outcomes for children with autism. Evidence from recent studies and expert recommendations are discussed to highlight the importance of integrating parent training into ABA programmes.

Music therapy for children with special needs goes far beyond simply listening to music. It provides a unique space for self-expression and communication, using interactive methods such as playing instruments, singing, and rhythm to help children with emotional, cognitive, and social growth. The blog highlights several case examples, including children with Autism, where music therapy facilitated trust-building and non-verbal communication. One child began to engage through shared rhythms, while another gradually overcame barriers and developed meaningful connections through patience and consistency. These real-life examples show how music therapy fosters communication in subtle ways, such as through small gestures or rhythmic exchanges, proving that meaningful connections can be made without words.

Generational gap and differences have always been a topic of research. These intergenerational differences are prominent and can be observed very distinctly, be it in terms of physical, social, emotional, and/or psychological abilities. This study aimed to investigate a significant difference between Generation X and Generation Z in terms of self-esteem, resilience, and perceived social support. The survey incorporated basic questions about the participants such as their names, ages, and gender. It most importantly consisted of 3 self-report measures namely the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, The Multi Social Scale of Perceived Social Support, and the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale. 172 participants of Indian nationality participated in this study. Out of which 86 belonged to Generation X and 86 to Generation Z. Independent samples t-test was used to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated a significant difference between the two generational cohorts in terms of self-esteem, resilience, and perceived social support.

This paper investigates the role of semantic transparency for the mental representation of derived words in Standard Modern Greek. Specifically, we seek to examine whether semantic transparency affects morphological representation and whether any potential effect is dichotomous or graded. To this end, we conducted a lexical decision task employing the immediate cross-modal priming paradigm, which is considered to tap into an abstract, modality independent level of representation in the core of the mental lexicon. Forty-eight university students, native speakers of Standard Modern Greek, participated in the experiment. Ninety prime–target pairs, each comprising a derived (or pseudo-derived) word as auditory prime and its (real or putative) noun-base as visual target, were equally distributed in 3 critical semantic transparency conditions (opaque, e.g., tsiγarízo–tsiγáro ‘to frizzle’–‘cigarette’; semitransparent, e.g., piθikízo–píθikos ‘to imitate’–‘ape’; transparent, e.g., psiθirízo–psíθiros ‘to whisper’–‘whisper’), according to their mean scores from 3 semantic relatedness rating pretests. The analyses of the behavioral data (i.e., reaction times, error rates) revealed statistically significant and equivalent priming in the transparent and semitransparent condition but no priming in the opaque condition. This dichotomous pattern of priming implies morphologically structured lexical representations for the transparent and semitransparent derived stems on the one hand, while holistic, morphologically unstructured lexical representations for the opaque derived and pseudo-derived stems on the other hand. Therefore, we suggest a semantically constrained dual-route account of morphological representation rather than a full-decomposition or a graded (distributed connectionist, discriminative learning) account. To conclude, our experimental findings point that the mental representation of derived words is crucially influenced by semantic transparency in Standard Modern Greek, as is the case with many other Indo-European languages (e.g., English, French, Italian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Polish, Russian) and in contrast to Semitic languages (e.g., Arabic, Hebrew, Maltese).

The sound /v/ has not aroused disputes in Serbian phonology/phonetics alone, but has been known as a problematic sound cross-linguistically as well. It has been called 'hybrid' (Hamann 2006) and even 'schizophrenic' (Kavitskaya 1999) in other languages, and not without a reason. The gist of the problem is the fact that it can be classified either as a labiodental fricative or as a labiodental approximant in a number of languages. It exhibits unexpected phonological behaviour and its acoustic character is rather unreliable and even arbitrary. Serbian is one of the languages where the status of /v/ is a linguistic battlefield, whereas in English, it is undisputedly a voiced fricative. In this paper, we try to tackle some of these problems in Serbian and English on the basis of phonological facts, the acoustic analysis of recorded material by L1 speakers of both languages and the presence of transfer in L2 (English) by native speakers of Serbian.

Τα άτομα με αναπηρία, περισσότερα από δύο εκατομμύρια παγκοσμίως
παρά τις συνεχείς διακηρύξεις της UNESCO και άλλων αντίστοιχων οργανισμών περί ισότιμης πρόσβασης σε όλες τις εκφάνσεις της καθημερινότητας εξακολουθούν να αποκλείονται από την συμμετοχή τους στον κοινωνικό και εργασιακό τομέα. Παρά τις καμπάνιες ενημέρωσης και ευαισθητοποίησης του κοινωνικού συνόλου για θέματα που αφορούν την αναπηρία, η ανασκόπηση της διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας επιβεβαιώνει ότι εξακολουθούν να υφίστανται στερεοτυπικές αντιλήψεις οι οποίες λειτουργούν ως τροχοπέδη για την πλήρη αποδοχή των αναπήρων. Η πρόσβαση επίσης στην εργασία δεν είναι εφικτή με αποτέλεσμα να επηρεάζεται σημαντικά η καθημερινότητά τους. Παρά τα προσόντα που πιθανώς διαθέτουν και της επιθυμίας τους να εργαστούν πλήθος εμποδίων τους στερεί αυτή την δυνατότητα. Στη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία ως εμπόδια καταγράφονται οι αρνητικές στάσεις των εργοδοτών και των εργαζομένων, η ανάγκη αναδιαμόρφωσης του εργασιακού χώρου, η ύπαρξη υποστηρικτικής τεχνολογίας και άλλοι παράγοντες οι οποίοι εν τέλει δεν σχετίζονται με το ίδιο το άτομο αλλά επιβάλλονται από το περιβάλλον. Σε μια προσπάθεια αποτύπωσης της
ελληνικής πραγματικότητας σχετικά με την εργασιακή ένταξη των ατόμων με αναπηρία σχεδιάστηκε ένα ερωτηματολόγιο. Από την ανασκόπηση της βιβλιογραφίας συγκεντρώθηκαν διάφορες προτάσεις, οι οποίες κρίθηκαν ως οι πιο αντιπροσωπευτικές, και δημιουργήθηκε μια δεξαμενή ερωτήσεων. Αρχικά το ερωτηματολόγιο δόθηκε σε άλλους ερευνητές-επιστήμονες του ιδίου επιστημονικού χώρου, ώστε να ελεγχθεί η σαφήνεια των διατυπωμένων προτάσεων. Λήφθηκαν υπόψη τα σχόλιά τους, έγιναν οι απαραίτητες διορθώσεις και στην τελική του μορφή διανεμήθηκε μέσω κοινωνικών δικτύων και δια ζώσης. Συγκεντρώθηκαν πλήρως συμπληρωμένα 244 ερωτηματολόγια. Για να διαπιστωθεί ποιες προτάσειςθέματα κατανέμονται στις συνιστώσες που προκύπτουν, πραγματοποιήθηκε διερευνητική παραγοντική ανάλυση της αρχικής κλίμακας. Τελικά, σχηματίστηκαν και αξιολογήθηκαν τρεις συνιστώσες που αποτελούνταν από 14 προτάσεις. Η πρώτη αποτελούνταν από έξι προτάσεις οι οποίες αξιολογούσαν τις στάσεις του γενικού πληθυσμού σχετικά με την πρόθεση συνύπαρξης στον εργασιακό χώρο με άτομα με αναπηρία. Η δεύτερη αποτελούνταν από τρεις προτάσεις οι οποίες αξιολογούσαν τις στάσεις του γενικού πληθυσμού σχετικά με το πώς αντιλαμβάνονται ή/και προσδιορίζουν τον εργασιακό χώρο στον οποίο δύναται να εργάζονται και άτομα με αναπηρία. Τέλος, η τρίτη συνιστώσα η οποία αποτελούνταν από πέντε προτάσεις, αφορούσε την αξιολόγηση των στάσεων του γενικού πληθυσμού σχετικά με την κοινωνική
υποστήριξη/παροχή βοήθειας ώστε να ενταχθούν αποτελεσματικά στον
εργασιακό χώρο. Επιπλέον, εκτιμήθηκε η επίδραση διαφόρων ανεξάρτητων μεταβλητών (δημογραφικών χαρακτηριστικών των ερωτώμενων κλπ.)

This is the author's contribution to a volume dedicated to Pantelis Bassakos on the occasion of his retirement (pp. 67-85). It explores the precept "to exercise one's own judgment" focusing on ancient and modern connotations of the term "judgment". Regardless of which connotation one uses to interpret this precept, it is arguably indefensible. In an attempt to extend the inquiry beyond the signifier "judgment," it is observed that the main challenge that the precept is meant to address is the risk of endorsing false beliefs while appealing to authority. Drawing inspiration from observations made by Cicero and Augustine, it is argued that the principle of "epistemic autonomy," which underlies the precept, is questionable as it ultimately misdirects the discussion towards the "subject" rather than the object or method of justifying belief.

Vcasna diagnostika je klicovým faktorem, který umožňuje zahajit intenzivni casnou intervenci, ktera ma výrazně pozitivni dopad na prognozu ditěte a kvalitu života jeho samotneho, ale i cele jeho rodiny. V Ceske republice doslo na konci roku 2016 k novelizaci vyhlasky c. 70/2012 Sb., o preventivnich prohlidkach, ktera zavedla jako soucast vseobecne preventivni prohlidky v 18 měsicich věku ditěte take provedeni vysetřeni za ucelem vcasne diagnostiky PAS. Dotaznik MCHAT, který se při vysetřeni použiva, obsahuje 20 otazek zaměřených na psychomotorický vývoj ditěte, na ktere rodice odpovidaji ANO/NE. Na konci roku 2018 byl na vzorku 210 ceských praktických lekařů pro děti a dorost proveden dotaznikový výzkum s cilem zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem lekaři ve svých ordinacich tento screening provaději. En la edad preescolar el juego de roles es el mejor medio para la adquisición de las relaciones afectivo-emocionales y de los papeles sociales existentes en la sociedad. De esta forma, el juego es la actividad rectora del niño que garantiza el desarrollo en la edad preescolar, constituyendo una estrategia de prevención de dificultades de aprendizaje, por lo cual incursiona en el terreno de la salud escolar. En este artículo se realiza el análisis de una intervención a través de método de juego de roles con un grupo de niños preescolares colombianos con edades comprendidas entre los 5 y 6 años dentro del aula de clase. El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar el impacto del método de juego de roles en la formación de la actividad reflexiva. Los resultados reportan diferencias significativas en el nivel de ayuda que se requiere para la realización de las tareas antes y después de implementar el programa. Al inicio, los niños necesitan de ayudas más desplegadas, poco a poco estas ayudas se van reduciendo, lo cual indica la existencia de una zona de desarrollo próximo más reducida. La propuesta interventiva en el aula de clase que se presenta en este artículo, se constituye en un enfoque novedoso dentro de la postura histórico-cultural (Vigotsky, 1984b) y la teoría de la actividad desde los primeros años de escolaridad. Además, esta propuesta tiene impacto positivo en todas las esferas de la psique infantil: cognoscitiva, emocional-afectiva, de motivos e intereses, comportamental y de personalidad reflexiva. Ο Σοφοκλής στον Οιδίποδα Τύραννο, επισφραγίζοντας την άρρηκτη σχέση της έρευνας με την ανθρώπινη φύση, χρησιμοποιεί ως όχημα την αστυνομική έρευνα και την απόπειρα αποκατάστασης της αταξίας που επιφέρει μια εγκληματική πράξη -μια και ο φόνος αποτελεί τη μεγαλύτερη ίσως διατάραξη της φυσικής, ηθικής και κοινωνικής τάξης- για να προτείνει μια πολυσύνθετη θεώρηση του κόσμου, θεμελιωμένη στο αξίωμα ότι το κύριο εύρημα κάθε έρευνας (πρέπει να) είναι ο ίδιος ο ερευνητής. Με αυτό τον τρόπο χαράζει μια πορεία, την οποία η αστυνομική μυθοπλασία -λογοτεχνική ή κινηματογραφική- είναι αναγκασμένη, συνειδητά ή όχι, να ακολουθήσει, για να λύσει τα ίδια αινίγματα, για να παλέψει στα ίδια σταυροδρόμια, στην προσπάθειά της να εξελιχθεί, να συλλάβει και να εκφράσει την πολυπλοκότητα της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης και να επαληθεύσει τον ισχυρισμό του Ches-terton ότι η αστυνομική ιστορία είναι η καθαυτή ιστορία του ανθρώπου.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has long been recognised as a scientifically validated approach to understanding and modifying behaviour. However, in recent years, ABA has faced significant criticism due to its historical reliance on punitive measures and a deficit focused approach, particularly in its application to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This criticism has sparked a movement to push back against traditional ABA practices, advocating for more ethical, person centred, and strengths based approaches. This paper explores the evolution of ABA, the critiques it faces, and the emergence of strengths based ABA as a response to these concerns. By shifting the focus from deficits to strengths and emphasizing positive behavior supports, strengths based ABA aims to address legacy issues, empower individuals, and promote more humane and effective interventions.

Background: Exposure to screen has been on the rise, especially during and post lockdown imposed on account of the covid pandemic. Children are exposed to digital devices at a very young age. It is suggested that the increase in exposure to screen at a young age, during the early developmentally sensitive age, can result in the children exhibiting difficulties with respect to socialization, pragmatics, and effective age-appropriate communication. Objectives: The present study aimed to determine whether an association exists between increased exposure to screen and increase in autism-like behavior i.e. Virtual Autism in young children by studying the effects of intervention on children exposed to screen at an earlier age who displayed virtual autism. Method: A total of 36 children (age range 1.5-06 years) exhibiting autism-like behavior combined with an increased screen exposure (> 04 hours/day) were selected for detailed speech language assessment and therapy. The informal assessment and formal assessment were done along with speech-language therapy and post therapy assessment. Results: Statistical result revealed that there was a significant difference between the pre-therapy and post-therapy scores for ACSLS and ISAA scores. The p value obtained was less than 0.05. Post therapy, there was an increase in social interaction duration which co-related with the improvement in language scores and reduction in their ISAA scores obtained post therapy. Conclusion: Virtual Autism is a relatively new diagnosis, and there is still much to learn about its underlying causes and effective treatment options. However, some experts suggest that interventions aimed at developing strong communication and social-emotional skills, both online and offline, may be helpful for individuals with Virtual Autism.

This paper suggests a rethinking of the goals of language teaching, by taking as a point of departure Adorno’s remarks on language expressivity and by tying in Saussure’s understanding of speaking subjects, Volosinov’s notion of experience, Benjamin’s relation between the expressed and the non-expressed, Benveniste’s theory of enunciation and Arendt’s action and speech. According to this, an utterance structure incorporates the lexicogrammatical choices constructed by history and the social-cultural context as a reply to previous utterances and to already established language use. As result, a pedagogics of care should not only focus on the curriculum’s goals, nor teach only those lexicogrammatical choices that are appropriate to a communicative situation; it should mainly give emphasis to the historical conditions of these choices and, especially, on the self-reflection on expressivity and the openness of an encounter with the “other”.

The Mom Kind, USA W ith rates being one in 59 children in the United States being diagnosed with autism, there is a real need for positive autism parenting advice. With the common use of social media and electronics by autistic childed and adults, as well as the parents thereof, a new world of information has come about. Social media and blogs are becoming the go to resource for parents in all categories, especially in the autism parenting realm. In the last the last two years, there has been a movement of autistic parents becoming social influencers. As one of those influencers, I have been able to reach parents that would not otherwise have any support. Many parents of autistic children throughout the world do not have a support system and also lack the insurance to see therapist for even the simplest of questions. Parents of autistic children struggle greatly with finding similar parents to connect with. Prior to social media, this left many parents feeling completely isolated. By embracing social media, influencers are able to help connect with parents and to help connect communities of parents together. Sharing day to day life, stories, and advice online helps connect these parents in ways that otherwise might be impossible. In this discussion, we will be covering the common questions parents are asking, the use of social media to support parents, autistic children, and adults, as well as the roles that social influencers are taking in the online autism parenting realm.

The study investigates the phonological processes of language-impaired children between the ages of 5 and 15. They were drawn from different special schools within Akwa Ibom State. They were purposively selected to examine the severity of the disorder for possible therapy and remediation. The study focused on the phonological processes of fricative stopping and velar fronting. Data were collected using a phonological diagnostic screening scale (PDSS) and a picture Naming task (PNT) for participants to identify and read. The theory of the Generative phonology approach was employed. Duration, voice onset time (VOT), intensity, and formant were analyzed using Praat software.

I refer particularly to the psychoanalyst's investigations into unconscious communication and reception, which the author positioned as part of the maternal procedural logic of psychic life.

Refiro-me especialmente às investigações do psicanalista sobre a comunicação e recepção inconscientes, que o autor situou como parte da lógica processual materna da vida psíquica.

This article discusses the importance of psychopedagogical and speech-language therapy in the early intervention of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a clinical setting. Early intervention is crucial for promoting the development of children by addressing the cognitive, communicative, and social difficulties characteristic of ASD. The role of the psychopedagogue and the speech-language therapist is highlighted in the development of individualized strategies that support learning and communication, as well as contributing to improved social interaction. The integration of these therapies in the clinical environment provides multidisciplinary support that enhances the children's neurodevelopment, resulting in better long-term outcomes. Continuous and specialized follow-up is essential for the development of the necessary skills for school and social adaptation, positively impacting the child's and the family's quality of life.

Identificar as consequências do uso excessivo de telas no desenvolvimento infantil. Consiste numa pesquisa de cunho descritivo e exploratório de Revisão Integrativa (RI), efetuada em dezembro de 2023. Essa pesquisa foi norteada pela estratégia PEO. A busca foi conduzida pelas seguintes bases de dados: IBECS, LILACS e MEDLINE via BVS. Dessa forma, selecionaram-se como descritores os DeCS e os MeSH, sendo ambos cruzados pelo operador booleano AND. Diante disso, nove estudos foram selecionados para compor a amostra final do artigo. A utilização inadequada das telas pode ter consequências no desenvolvimento das crianças, tais como dificuldades de linguagem, déficits cognitivos, dificuldades emocionais e comportamentais. Ademais, está interligado a um risco elevado de obesidade, irregularidades alimentares, desordens do sono, psiquiátricas e atraso no desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor. Torna-se necessário compreender as consequências do uso da tela no desenvolvimento das crianças, a fim de elaborar medidas eficazes para regular o uso da tela e reduzir os possíveis danos.

Περίληψη: Το άρθρο παρουσιάζει ορισμένες εκφάνσεις της ρητορικής τέχνης κατά τις πρώτες τρεις δεκαετίες του 21ου αιώνα σε εικονικά περιβάλλοντα και οικοσυστήματα μέσων. Το πρώτο μέρος του επικεντρώνεται στη σημασία της επάρκειας στην τέχνη της ρητορικής και της εφαρμογής της στην εκφορά λόγου, στη γνώση της γλώσσας, στον πλούτο του λεξιλογίου και στη ρητορική γνώση για την επιτυχία του ομιλητή. Το δεύτερο μέρος επικεντρώνεται σε σύγχρονα λογισμικά, εφαρμογές, στην εκφώνηση (voice over), στην τεχνητή νοημοσύνη και σε ρομπότ συνομιλίας (chatbots), που χρησιμοποιούνται στα ηλεκτρονικά και διαδικτυακά μέσα για τη δημιουργία της τελικής εκδοχής του προϊόντος μέσων ή εκπαίδευσης. Το άρθρο ολοκληρώνεται με την παρουσίαση ορισμένων εκφάνσεων της εικονικής ρητορικής: εικονικές τάξεις, διαδικτυακά σεμινάρια (webinars), παιχνίδια και κοινωνικά δίκτυα. Αρχικός στοχος του άρθρου είναι η καθιέρωση σύγχρονων θεωρητικών αρχών της ρητορικής ως επιστήμης και στη σχέση της με τη φωνητική, τη γλωσσολογία, την εκπαίδευση ηθοποιών, με έμφαση στην προσωδία. Δεύτερη επιδίωξη είναι η παρουσίαση του ρόλου της φωνής σε ένα εικονικό περιβάλλον και οικοσύστημα μέσων, και ειδικότερα σε ηχοβιβλία (audio books), podcast και ρομπότ συνομιλίας (chatbots). Η παρουσιαζόμενη ανάλυση πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη χρήση βιβλιογραφικής έρευνας, παρατήρησης και περιγραφής, κυβερνοεθνογραφικής παρατήρησης και ρητορικής ανάλυσης.

Τα άτομα με χαρακτηριστικά στο φάσμα του αυτισμού εμφανίζουν, σε διάφορους βαθμούς, δυσκολίες στην επικοινωνία και την κοινωνική αλληλεπίδραση που συχνά, αν όχι πάντα οδηγούν σε κοινωνική απομόνωση και αποκλεισμούς.
Λόγω ακριβώς των επικοινωνιακών προβλημάτων που χαρακτηρίζουν το φαινόμενο, αναφύονται προβλήματα προσαρμογής σε νέα περιβάλλοντα, προβλήματα που περαιτέρω επιτείνονται από αυξημένα επίπεδα άγχους. Ευλόγως τα άτομα με χαρακτηριστικά στο φάσμα του αυτισμού αντιμετωπίζουν σημαντική δυσκολία στην αγορά εργασίας τόσο στην εύρεση εργασίας όσο και στη διατήρησή της.
Στρέφοντας την προσοχή μας από τα ίδια τα άτομα με αυτισμό στις οικογένειές τους, αναγνωρίζουμε ότι αυτές βρίσκονται αντιμέτωπες όχι μόνο με υψηλά επίπεδα άγχους, και άλλες μορφές συναισθηματικού φόρτου λόγω των απαιτήσεων της φροντίδας και της υποστήριξης αλλά επιπλέον και με τον οικονομικό φόρτο που συνεπάγεται λόγω της ανάγκης για εξειδικευμένες υπηρεσίες υποστήριξης και κατά περίπτωση, των υψηλών ιατρικών και θεραπευτικών δαπανών, που απαιτούνται.
Κατά συνέπεια, και οι οικογένειες των ατόμων με διαταραχές στο φάσμα του αυτισμού αντιμετωπίζουν προβλήματα όπως ακριβώς και τα υποστηριζόμενα από αυτές μέλη τους, δηλαδή το φάσμα της ανεργίας, ψυχολογικά προβλήματα και προβλήματα διαχείρισης άγχους, προβλήματα στιγματισμού και κοινωνικών διακρίσεων.
Ερευνητικά δεδομένα δεικνύουν ότι ικανό τμήμα των ατόμων με διαταραχή στο φάσμα του αυτισμού (ΔΑΦ) αλληλεπιδρά ικανοποιητικά με τον εικονικό κόσμο ενώ κατά την αλληλεπίδραση αυτή εμφανίζει μειωμένα επίπεδα άγχους. Ένας κοινός τόπος συνεπώς, φαίνεται να είναι η επαναληπτικότητα στις διαδικασίες που χαρακτηρίζουν τόσο τις αλγοριθμικές διαδικασίες, όσο και τα άτομα με αυτισμό.
Η Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη είναι το επόμενο στάδιο της ψηφιακής επανάστασης που ξεκίνησε με την εμφάνιση των υπολογιστών. Πρόκειται για σύζευξη των γνωστικών πεδίων της πληροφορικής και της στατιστικής και εκμεταλλεύεται την μεγάλη ταχύτητα επεξεργασίας των δεδομένων αλλά και την ύπαρξη του τεράστιου όγκου που υπάρχουν αποθηκευμένα σε ελάχιστες εταιρείες όπως πχ η Google, η Microsoft, το Facebook, και άλλες εταιρείες μέσων κοινωνικής δικτύωσης που συλλέγουν και αποθηκεύουν δεδομένα. Η προσδοκία είναι η παραγωγή συστημάτων τα οποία θα μπορούν να λαμβάνουν αυτόνομα αποφάσεις υπό συνθήκες αβεβαιότητας. Πρόκειται για αγορά περίπου 18 τρισεκατομμυρίων την επόμενη 15ετία (που ερμηνεύει τον αδυσώπητο ανταγωνισμό των εταιρειών αυτών).
Το δικό μας ενδιαφέρον εστιάζεται στην δημιουργία εικονικών οντοτήτων τα οποία θα είναι ακόμη φιλικότερα προς τον πληθυσμό των ατόμων με αυτισμό.

Background: Exposure to screen has been on the rise, especially during and post lockdown imposed on account of the covid pandemic. Children are exposed to digital devices at a very young age. O autor traz para a discussão a hipótese de uma estrutura do autismo, elaborando um histórico sobre o tema e apresentando as justificativas teóricas para ta l hipótese. Ao postular que o gozo é sempre autoerótico, autista, pergunta-se o que o autismo pode ensinar à psicanálise nos dias de hoje.

ABSTRACT
Background: Conversion disorder, a mental disorder characterized by the presence of multiple medically unex-plained neurological symptoms and signs precipitated by psychological stress, occurs in childhood. Conversion disorder is more common in lower socioeconomic-class individuals who are medically naïve. Objective: To demonstrate the salient features of conversion disorder in childhood and to identify needs for future research. Method: The report of a nine-year-old girl with medically unexplained neurological complaints following re-peated severe psychosocial stressors is presented. Results: The subject presented symptoms suggesting blindness, deafness, and seizures while experiencing chronic child abuse and neglect. Conclusions: Conversion symptoms often occur in cases of severe psychosocial stress including sexual abuse. The presentation of conversion disorder in childhood may convince examining clinicians to institute medical and surgical interventions. Prompt identi-fication of the condition and institution of appropriate treatment facilitates speedy recovery. Vigorous search for treatable neurological and medical diseases is indicated. Mood and anxiety disorders are likely to develop in individuals with conversion disorders in childhood and adolescence. Proactive involvement of child protec-tive services may be required to prevent further child abuse and neglect.

Theory of mind refers to an understanding of mental states such as belief, desire, and knowledge that enables us to explain and predict others' behaviour. One of the primary diagnostic criteria for the autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is the presence of a theory of mind deficiency. In the light of the above theoretical background this research investigates whether Bengali children with autism can express theory of mind in describing short narratives. Primary data were collected from two experiments where the participants answers to the questions of false belief test (FBT) and completed task of identifying some emotional pictures based on Emotional Picture Cues (EPC). The result states that high-functioning autistic (HFA) children performed relatively well in both false belief test (FBT) and emotional picture cues (EPC) task in comparison with low functioning autistic children (LFA). Furthermore, as per as task is concerned both with HFA and LFA demonstrated more impairments in false belief test (FBT) than emotional picture cues (EPC). The result is consistent with some previous research experiments conducted on the issue of identical topics.

A recent large-scale study on the portrayal of autism in British newspapers revealed a deficit-based coverage, which concentrated on children and boys in particular, typically represented from the mothers' perspective. This follow-up study refines these representations, considering how they differ by gender and family role. We analysed 2,998 text samples, which discussed autism in the context of four combinations of gender and family roles, namely, BOY, GIRL, FATHER, and MOTHER. These samples included sources with different publication date, reporting style, and political orientation. Autism representations remained negative regardless of gender and family role. Over time, stories about autistic girls started to emerge, identifying them as a distinct group explicitly compared to autistic boys. Newspapers, especially broadsheets, associated girls with diagnostic difficulties, camouflaging, and sometimes gender dysphoria − discussed particularly for children assigned female at birth. The child's autism was more often attributed to maternal than paternal behaviours or lifestyle. Autistic mothers were mentioned more often than fathers, and were portrayed negatively. We conclude that newspapers portray female autism as less significant than male autism, and, in addition, place mothers under more ethical scrutiny than fathers. These disparities reflect both historical biases in autism research and gender and family-role stereotypes.
