Canopus Infosystems Interview Experience for Java Developer

I had the opportunity to be part of the hiring process at Canopus Infosystems in Indore. The journey commenced when I applied through my college, and it involved six rounds of assessment.
Round 1 :- The first round was a group discussion (GD), where ten candidates, including myself, were given various topics to discuss. Each of us had to explain the assigned topic for one minute. Following the GD, candidates were selected based on their performance.
Round 2 :- The second round was a written coding test focusing on fundamental concepts such as arrays, linked lists, and logic problem-solving. We were required to write the logic for given programs.
Round 3 :- After clearing the coding test, I progressed to a virtual interview with a senior developer. The discussion began with questions about my programming languages proficiency, educational background, and project experiences. I was given programming problems to solve, including reversing a string without using loops and determining if two strings were anagrams. Additionally, there were inquiries about SQL, distinguishing between relational and non-relational databases, and explaining the relational nature of SQL.
Round 4 :- Once I cleared this round, the subsequent virtual round delved into my academic projects. I explained how I implemented these projects, my role, and the team composition. Topics such as Python generators, decorators, differences between Django and Flask, and the Django user model were also discussed.
Round 5 :- In the next round, which was also virtual, I was questioned in-depth about multithreading concepts and presented with real-world coding problems related to arrays. I also discussed SQL concepts such as joins.
Final Round / HR Round :- Finally, I had an HR round where I learned about the company's culture, values, and other personal aspects such as family background and career aspirations.

Overall, the interview process was thorough, covering technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, providing valuable insights into the company and its culture.
