Python - PyTorch is_storage() method

PyTorch torch.is_storage() method returns True if obj is a PyTorch storage object.
Syntax: torch.is_storage(object) Arguments
  • object: This is input tensor to be tested.
Return: It returns either True or False.
Let's see this concept with the help of few examples: Example 1: Python3
# Importing the PyTorch library 
import torch 
  
# A constant tensor of size n
a = torch.FloatStorage(6)
print(a)

# Applying the is_storage function and 
# storing the result in 'out'
out = torch.is_storage(a)
print(out)
Output:

 4.555761437366413e-41
 3.906847023468105e-37
 0.0
 4.484155085839415e-44
 0.0
[torch.FloatStorage of size 6]
True
