So far in this book, we have focused on Swarm for our orchestration. That was intentional, because it is generally much easier to get started with Swarm, and since Docker Enterprise supports both orchestrators, you can use either or both. In this chapter, we turn our attention to using Kubernetes on the Docker Enterprise platform. With its popularity and rich ecosystem, Kubernetes deployments will likely grow and represent a significant portion of your applications. After getting our first application into production with Swarm, it's time to circle back and take a look at running Kubernetes applications on your Docker infrastructure.
