Summary

In this chapter, you learned the various ways you can contribute to the LLVM project and you saw that not all contributions are patches, but these contributions are equally important.

As you can imagine, this was not an exhaustive list of how you can get more involved in the community. For instance, we did not cover meet-ups or LLVM developers’ meetings. The latter can be a tremendous opportunity to find people with the same interests as you. Consider doing a lightning talk about the topic you are working on to get the word out and gather people to help you.

At the end of the day, remember that an open source project is built around a community. To become more productive with the project, we recommend that you aim to be a part of this community and actively contribute back. Think of it this way: whatever you contribute to the project may help someone else and can also be improved and maintained by someone else!
