The paper compares the performance of three symmetric key encryption algorithms: DES, AES, and Blowfish, focusing on their runtime efficiency across different data block sizes and modes of operation. Results show that Blowfish executes faster than both AES and DES, highlighting the importance of choosing an appropriate encryption technique for secure data transmission. Future work aims to extend this research to encompass diverse data types and develop algorithms that meet Quality of Service (QoS) requirements.
