This document summarizes a research paper that examined the usability of a developed multiple file encryption application using the Rijndael encryption algorithm. The application was intended to encrypt different file types on computers to prevent unauthorized access. Based on surveys completed by engineering and computer science students, the research found that the application had an average level of usability. Specifically, the graphical user interface design and operational performance received lower usability ratings. The research concluded that the application provides a way to securely encrypt files, but that improvements could be made to enhance the user experience.
