This document proposes a new method for lossless visible watermarking using compound mappings. It introduces:
1) Reversible one-to-one compound mappings that can map pixel values from an original image to a watermarked image, and back, allowing lossless recovery.
2) An algorithm for embedding visible watermarks that applies these mappings to make watermark pixel values close to a desired watermark image.
3) A proof that the mappings allow embedding a visible watermark while still enabling lossless recovery of the original image.
The method can embed different types of visible watermarks, such as monochrome or full-color translucent watermarks, in a lossless reversible way.
