The document presents an enhanced routing algorithm, efst-aodv, for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), addressing challenges such as frequent topology changes and limited battery power. The proposed method improves the established AODV protocol by incorporating parameters like residual energy, delay, and distance for better route quality, resulting in superior performance in terms of packet delivery ratio, delay, throughput, and routing overhead. Simulation results demonstrate the efficacy of efst-aodv compared to traditional AODV in maintaining stable and efficient communication routes.
