This document presents an energy-balanced improved LEACH routing protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) that addresses the limitations of the original LEACH protocol by employing a centralized clustering approach using the k-mean algorithm. The proposed method enhances energy conservation and network longevity by optimizing cluster head selection based on node energy and proximity to the sink. The paper outlines the methodology, assumptions, and results indicating the effectiveness of the new protocol in prolonging network life through balanced energy consumption.
