This paper presents the development of an optimized model for urban outdoor coverage in LTE networks at a frequency of 2300 MHz in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, highlighting the challenges of signal attenuation and fluctuation. Several existing path loss models were evaluated and a modified model was created, optimized using the Particle Swarm Optimization technique, achieving significant improvements in performance metrics. The study emphasizes the importance of accurate path loss estimation for effective mobile communication system design and planning.
