This paper discusses an optimization technique called Hybrid Evolutionary Programming (HEP) for synthesizing the array pattern of a Concentric Circular Antenna Array (CCAA). It focuses on maximizing differentiation in the cost function while reducing sidelobe levels, yielding significant improvements in radiation patterns. Experimental results demonstrate that non-uniform current excitations provide lower sidelobe levels and narrower beamwidths compared to uniform excitations, achieving a significant sidelobe level reduction of -40.22 dB.
