This paper presents a new routing protocol, Edge Node Based Greedy Routing (EBGR), designed to reduce packet transmission delays in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs). The EBGR algorithm identifies suitable next-hop nodes based on their potential score while considering factors such as distance, direction of motion, and link stability. Simulation results indicate that EBGR significantly minimizes end-to-end delay compared to existing routing protocols in VANETs.
