Atlanta Facility TIGHITCO, Inc. 1375 Seaboard Industrial Blvd, NW Atlanta, GA 30318-2824
Atlanta Facility Specifics 126,000 Sq. Ft. facility Single Shift Operation Support our Customers with: Full Engineering and Design Support Tooling Design and Build Qualification Testing CATIA Program Management Fully Implemented ERP System Visual Manufacturing High quality products AS 9100/ISO 9000 Certified On-time delivery Cost Effective Solutions
Materials Encapsulations Metal Foils Stainless Steel Inconel Metal Mesh High Temperature Textiles Nextel Quartz Leached Silica Mid-Range Textiles E-Glass Silicon Coated Teflon Coated Insulations High Temperature Calcium-Magnesium-Silicates or Ceramic Fiber Paper Felts Blanket HSA Microporous Quartz Matt Mid-Range Fiberglass Aerogel
Thermal Management Selection Criteria Thermal Efficiency Space Constraints Durability Maximum Temperature Vibration Resistance Ease of Fabrication Cost Fire Tests
Products – Metal Blankets Consistent dimensions based on tooling – highly reproducible parts Removable to support repair/inspection Continuous use temperature up to 1200F (stainless) or 1600F (Inconel) This process can support price reductions with larger quantities Easily installed, durable parts, which survive fluid splash Requires tooling Re-designs could be costly Heat paths associated with the split lines and edges
Products - Integrated System Much like Metal Blankets May be lower cost option compared to full metal blankets Lighter weight than full metal blanket Heat paths from insulated component to outer shell is minimized - improved overall performance of the system Cannot be removed for inspection or repair Parts to be insulated must be shipped to TIG Hitco – logistics/lead time concerns Parts to be insulated will have metal shell welded to them or require some type of claming devise May require stand-off ring for welding outer shell onto the unit
Products – Soft Goods Rapid prototyping available Slight re-designs can be easily supported Few heat paths from insulated component to exterior of blanket Complex shapes may be very challenging due to tolerance stack-ups Quilted products available Parts conforming to tight envelope or tolerances are difficult Cloth selection largely determines cost, durability, weather resistance, and temperature use limit May be susceptible to fluid ingress Silicon based fabric – 500F Teflon based fabric – 600F
Products – Molded Goods Consistent dimensions based on tooling – highly reproducible parts Few heat paths Easily installed, durable parts, which survive fluid splash Well suited to less complex geometries or flat surfaces Requires tooling Re-designs could be costly Continuous temperature use limit 450-500F
Design Application requirements and environment will largely determine material selection, product configuration and production process Quantity projections will also affect design TIG Hitco Engineering is Project Based Most parts are modeled in CATIA Drawings Tools Fixtures Work Instructions
