This document describes a DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) based home automation system circuit. It consists of an ATmega8 microcontroller, HT9107B DTMF decoder IC, relays, and loads like lights and fans. The circuit allows controlling appliances remotely from a mobile phone by pressing buttons which generate tone pairs decoded by the HT9107B and sent to the microcontroller. When a button is pressed, the corresponding appliance is switched on or off. The system provides remote control of home devices but has limitations in the number of controllable appliances and synchronization issues.
