Reference Assignment Operator in PHP

Let’s say we have the following value −

$nextValue=100;

Let us take a new variable and assign a reference −

$currentValue = &$nextValue;

To assign a reference, use the reference assignment operator i.e. =&$anyVariableName in PHP.
